🌸 Family Devotional: The Fruit of the Spirit — Kindness

Bible Verse:
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32

💭 Devotional Thought
Kindness is showing love through our actions and words. When we’re kind, we make people feel cared for—just like Jesus does for us! Being kind means we share, forgive, and help others, even when they don’t ask. Kindness can look small, but it makes a big difference! A smile, a helping hand, or saying kind words can brighten someone’s whole day. God wants us to fill the world with kindness so others can see His love through us.

🍎 Object Lesson: The Band-Aid Lesson
Hold up a Band-Aid and say:
“When someone gets a scrape, a Band-Aid helps it heal. Kindness is like a Band-Aid—it helps people’s hearts feel better when they’re hurt or sad.” Give your child a Band-Aid to decorate with a heart or cross and remind them: “Use kindness to help heal others this week.”

🙏 Family Prayer
“Dear God, thank You for being so kind to us. Help us to have kind hearts, gentle words, and helping hands. Show us ways to make others feel loved this week. Amen.”

💡 Family Challenge
This week, try to do one secret act of kindness every day!
It could be:

Helping with chores without being asked
Writing a kind note to a teacher or friend
Sharing a snack
Giving a compliment
