A beautiful night for some hometown baseball at Great American turned into pure major league magic for Easton and Cooper when their hero, SHS grad and New York Mets rookie AJ, tossed a ball their way from center field! ⚾️

Not long after, WLWT reporter Sean MacKinnon showed up to interview them about it. 📹🎤

Our Springboro sports seasons may be over for the school year, but there is still a *lot* of competition happening this summer! 🛶

Rising SHS junior Matthew Cooper is one of 27 local rowers representing the Dayton Boat Club at the US Rowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota, Florida this week!

Matthew and his teammates qualified by placing second in the Men's U17 8+ race and third in the Men's U17 4+ at Regionals. 🥈🥉

Recent SHS graduate Paige Kopittke is also part of the DBC. She helped her boat to a first place finish in the Women's Varsity 8 race at a regatta in Michigan last month and is gearing up for her first year as a collegiate rower at the University of Toledo! 🥇

Good luck to Matthew, Paige, and all the DBC rowers! 🐾

Brody Moore, Reuben Hermiller, and Jacob Schmahl had impressive races against the fastest sprinters and hurdlers in Ohio in the 100m dash, 110m hurdles, and 400m dash! 👟
