Canine Touch

So you ask, what oh what is Canine Touch?! Think bodywork between chiropractic and massage. It addresses all the connective tissue in the body, working over tendons, ligaments, muscle belly, edges and fascia.

So what is fascia?! It is the thin covering of connective tissue that runs throughout the body under the skin. It can be superficial, visceral or deep. It is what holds the body together and creates integrity and balance. It also runs through every fiber of muscle in the body.

It is this incredible connection of fascia that is addressed in Canine Touch. Think of fascia and the neural network as an internet of spider webbing throuhgout the body. Messages sent through the network, create responses within the body to make change. The Canine Touch stimulates the body's own innate healing responses whereby it increases blood flow and initiates lymph drainage and signals the dog's body to make its own changes. This is the beauty of the work and I am the messenger.

Its all about the feel, trust, and intention to serve the dog for their well being! Canine Touch brings the body to a place of deep relaxation and it is here that changes take place.
Working through the fascial system, with awareness of their own body, I will see dogs "listening" with a deep sensing of something new in this touch, and its innate ability to heal is initiated.

I'm excited to offer this alternative bodywork for dogs. As people we know we require a lot of help and maintenance with our own bodies so why wouldn't a dog benefit from this as well. It's minimally invasive, is a whole body address and can change things within the body that other protocols cannot.

I've always been passionate about animals, caring for them, nursing them back to health when necessary and giving them the best life possible! This is a win for me and the animals that come into my care. With these hands and the light touch of the work so much more is possible!
