Best Start Pediatrics

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a proven relationship-focused behavioral intervention for children ages 2-7 with challenging behaviors such as tantrums, inattention/hyperactivity, and task refusal. Parents receive live coaching with the therapist to practice skills at weekly appointments with therapy typically completed in 14-20 sessions. Parents gain confidence in managing child behaviors, report reduced stress, and increase positive interaction with their child. Last week, Dr. Averitt and Kennedy (HSS, CHW) attended the 2026 Arkansas Community Health Worker Association Annual Summit. They learned about and made connections with many local organizations that contribute to the health of our community.
