Following our last post, someone from South Creek Church, contacted us to ask about probable plagiarism allegations against unrepentant, spiritually abusive, and permanently disqualified pastors, JUSTIN RAY NELSON and BRANDON G. TAYLOR (employed by Jack Henry & Associates). This person was uncertain how to check to verify plagiarism. What follows are two links: First, one to a list of free transcription software tools. These can be used to transcribe the audio portion of any sermon into text for verification. Second, one to check that text for plagiarism for free. All one must do is sign in and download the free software for each.

According to someone who is an active part of South Creek Church, all is not well behind the scenes. Whether the unrepentant, spiritually abusive pastors, JUSTIN RAY NELSON and BRANDON G. TAYLOR (employed by Jack Henry & Associates), are fully aware of how bad it is or not, I don’t know. There are numerous people now with serious concerns about their leadership, people who have both left as well as those who are still members. The concerns involve the following: (1) Repeated unsound judgments and bad decisions by Justin and Brandon. (2) Brandon rubber-stamping most of the decisions Justin wants to make including ones involving spiritual abuse, Justin’s pay raises, the spending of church money, and not listening to the concerns of members. (3) Mishandling issues related to the pandemic. (4) Lack of accountability for Justin and Brandon, and the fact that no one can terminate either of them as pastors because they have all the power for decision making and cover for each other’s sins and incompetency. (5) Mishandling discipline and restoration issues. (6) Inability to admit they are wrong, take responsibility for past actions, and thoroughly repent. (7) Prideful defiance where they double-down in authoritarian ways when they should really be humble and admit they have done wrong. (8) Not being honest about their plans to replace the previous Teaching Pastor when he resigned. (9) Justin taking so much of a pay raise that the church can now no longer afford a real Teaching Pastor, therefore, he has assumed that role himself, even though that is not his gift or calling. (10) Justin’s unwillingness to share equal authority with a new pastor from outside the congregation for fear the new pastor will hold him accountable or not rubber-stamp his desires. (11) Valid concerns over plagiarism by Justin regarding the possible misuse of Warren Wiersbe’s sermons as part of the current Proverbs Sunday morning study. There is software to check such matters. (12) People starting to realize the former Teaching Pastor told them the truth about problems with Justin and Brandon. (13) No attempt by Justin to truly repent of covetousness or his glaring lack of self-control. (14) Intentionally misleading statements about the founding of South Creek Church, listed under Justin’s biography on the church’s website, where he tries to make it seem like he was the sole person who planted the congregation. This kind of spin is characteristic of Justin and Brandon’s dishonesty and reveals major character flaws and integrity problems they both share. In addition to these concerns, people are disillusioned and disappointed with key lay leaders, like Rick Owsley (employed by Ridewell Corporation), Adam Kyle (employed by Kyle Insurance Agency), Larry Cooper (retired parole officer), and others who could be named and probably will be before long, who have been complicit (via funding, defending, supporting, protecting, encouraging, conspiring, and cooperating, etc.) with the spiritual abuse that Justin and Brandon have inflicted on others, as well as their tolerance of the issues mentioned above. As always, I will continue to report what I hear. Please continue to pray that God will continue to chasten Justin and Brandon, and if necessary, South Creek Church, until there is true repentance that bears the fruit of biblical reconciliation.

It’s that time of year once again when JUSTIN RAY NELSON will have the opportunity to give himself a big pay raise under the guise of a “needed” cost of living increase or other “needed” pastoral perk or benefit. This, of course, will help him keep up his cruiser and covetous lifestyle. Reader, be wise and stop giving SOUTH CREEK CHURCH your money!

There are at least three reasons why unrepentant and permanently disqualified, spiritual, emotional, and relational abusers, JUSTIN RAY NELSON and BRANDON G. TAYLOR, will not as pastors seek biblical reconciliation and/or engage in Christian arbitration/mediation with those they have abused as commanded by God in Matthew 5:23-24 and 1 Corinthians 6:1-6:

(1) THE LOVE OF MONEY -- These two spiritual predators have been given numerous opportunities to make their abusive sins and offenses right with God and others but refuse to do so because it will cost them their ministries and the money that goes with it if they truly repent. The bottom line is they love cash more than Christ.

(2) THE FEAR OF MAN -- They have been given legal counsel against admitting guilt due to its potential legal liability for them and SOUTH CREEK CHURCH. They would rather obey the counsel of a lawyer than obey the commands of the Lord to repent, resign, and be reconciled. Neither JUSTIN RAY NELSON, nor BRANDON G. TAYLOR, have the character or integrity it would take to publicly repent of the specific and serious sins which they are both guilty of committing and resign on their own.

(3) THE PERPETUATION OF THE MASQUERADE – These two pastors are counterfeit Christians and spiritual frauds. JUSTIN RAY NELSON has a very long history going back to childhood of being a great performer, actor, and pretender. He, along with BRANDON G. TAYLOR, are both supreme hypocrites of the highest order. They are hiding behind a mask. In fact, if you watch JUSTIN RAY NELSON very carefully, you can see him shift into performance mode when he starts to preach. These two spiritual abusers are complete phonies. It took 26 years for me to discover how deceitful JUSTIN RAY NELSON is, but God finally exposed him.

For these reasons and more, they pridefully and persistently refuse to obey the Bible to repent, resign, and be reconciled. I cannot warn everyone strongly enough to stay completely away from this dangerous church and have absolutely nothing to do with it. You will not be safe being transparent and vulnerable in this congregation. Be sure to protect your family at all costs.
