Quick question:

How many would like to see things on this page other than trapping? Like informational/educational posts related to lost, stray, and owned dogs? Or do you guys prefer just the trapping stories?

For example, I'm currently on my way to Ozark to scan a dog for a micro hip that was caught by a family to hopefully reunite him with his owners. This dog is stand offish to people he doesn't know, but is in a contained area, would you like to see how it is I approach him and how I get him to trust me enough to scan him?

If so, please drop s comment below, if enough interest, I will try and do a live recording post when I get there.

I'm sure everyone would love an update about Miss "Etta", the median dog!

Well, here it is! Words cannot express how thankful I am to this family and to stray rescue for finding her the perfect home to go to.

This is the text I just got, and with their permission I'm sharing it here.

It is well worth the read and for those that were part of her journey and called her in or posted her, thank you for all your help getting her caught.

SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MISSING MOTHER DOG CONNECTED TO SPARTA DUMPSTER PUPPY CASE
🔍
Animal Angels Network is asking the community for urgent assistance in locating Bella, a 7-year-old mother dog connected to the publicized case of a litter of newborn puppies found dumped in a Sparta dumpster last week. The case, currently under investigation, resulting in criminal charges.
While the puppies have been safely transported their mother remains missing and unaccounted for.
Bella is described as:
Age: 7 years old
under 50 pounds
Temperament: Friendly, but likely confused
Appearance: Black and tan coloring with a gray muzzle

Animal Angels Network has partnered with Emergency Rescue Consultancy & Brittany Scherff, who will oversee all search and containment procedures to ensure Bella’s safety.
This mother dog has already been through enough. The puppies survived because someone spoke up. Now we need the same community awareness and compassion to bring their mom to safety.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT CHASE OR CALL BELLA
Lost and abandoned dogs especially a mother recently separated from her puppies can go into survival mode, making them prone to flee when approached.
Anyone who spots Bella should:
Not chase, call, or whistle
Keep a safe distance
Attempt to take a photo or video

WHY FINDING BELLA IS URGENT
A nursing mother separated from her litter is at risk for:
Mastitis
Dehydration
Infection
Malnutrition
Reproductive complications

Additionally, keeping Bella safe prevents future unwanted litters and supports the ongoing investigation.
Bella deserves the same chance at safety that her puppies received,The community has already proven how powerful it can be. We’re asking for that energy again every set of eyes helps.
Animal Angels Network will release updates.

Another case we are still working on that we need sightings for us Ambrose.

This one is in Joplin, and I know I have a lot of Joplin followers, so Joplin and surrounding folks, please keep an eye out for Ambrose and share this post please so your friends and family see it too!

Ambrose is missing from near the Oklahoma/ Missouri border, and there has been no confirmed sightings of him either.

Ambrose came from an abusive situation down in Texas, and would up at the Bulverde Area Humane Society. A family from Illinois had been talking with the shelter about adopting him for a while, and made arrangements to fly down to pick him up, and drive back. On the way back, they stopped at a rest stop in Joplin and that's where Ambrose was lost.

Ambrose is terrified of people, because of his past, and will likely not approach anyone or stay visible for long when you do see him. Please keep a watch out for him in tree lines, If you have game cameras anywhere, please check them for him to show up. If you have outdoor animals that you feed, keep an eye on the food being eaten more than usual also, often times dogs on the run will find a place where outdoor cats or other animals are fed and start eating from there. If this happens and you notice you're feeding more than usual, let me know, we'd like to put a game camera out to monitor the feeding to be sure it's not him coming in the night to eat.

Ambrose is loved by many, including us here at ERC even though we haven't yet met him, and everyone is concerned for his safety right now. He deserves a chance to have a happy life, and we are still hopeful that he will show up somewhere. Please keep him in your minds and keep watching for him please. We appreciate everyone that has called or text in sightings, even if they weren't him, and everyone for the support of trying to find him.

If you do see him, please do not attempt any interaction as he will likely run, and for us to get him safe, we need for him to stay in whatever area he pops up in so we can safely trap him.

Please call if seen ASAP so we can work with you on his capture.

‼️ PLEASE NOTE AMBROSE'S MARKINGS ‼️

-Ambrose has brown spots on his ears

-Ambrose weighed 45 lbs when he went missing,, but right now likely weighs less than that, many of the dogs that have been reported to us as possibly being him are much bigger than he is, so I just wanted to mention that directly. Still, if you think it's him, tell us! We will check into it to verify if it is him or not.
