Watching the play "Our Town" this afternoon at the Hoogland Center for the Arts was a deeply moving experience. The last performace of a 3 day run did not disappoint. The play focused on the everyday lives of ordinary people and their relationships with one another and, at the same time, it has you reflecting on the meaning and purpose of life. Most of that reflection was guided by actress, Nicole Florence, who played the "stage manager" & narrator in the play. There were outstanding performances by all and Leigh Steiner masterfully directed the performance to make us think we lived in Grover's Corner, New Hampshire. Overall, watching "Our Town" for the first time was a memorable (and emotional) experience that will have me reflecting on the meaning of life for a long time. If you ever have an opportunity to see this play in the future it is sure to give you a more heartfelt perspective on life and relationships.
