This is my first time painting in almost a year.....I'm trying like hell to find the fire in my soul that once existed and start painting every day.
This is Amirah, a friend's beautiful girl she entrusted me to paint. I think I may have to figure out how to apply a filter to my paintings in the future....my new phone's camera takes really rough pics.

The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an all-weather supersonic, twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole combat aircraft, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft (hence the F/A designation). Designed by McDonnell Douglas and Northrop, the F/A-18 was derived from the latter's YF-17 in the 1970s for use by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations, and formerly by the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.

My aircraft nose art piece is complete! This was a fun one!
While Nose Art began for practical reasons of identifying friendly units, the practice evolved to express the individuality often constrained by the uniformity of the military, to evoke memories of home and peacetime life, and as a kind of psychological protection against the stresses of war and the probability of death. Although never officially approved, regulations against it were not enforced.
