Wednesday Walkthrough in Southern Hills📍— one of Springfield’s most classic neighborhoods 🏡

As you can see, we’re finished hanging the sheetrock 🔨
so a lot of the finishing elements are finally starting to come together.

We’re doing a 10–12 foot island, which I’m super pumped about 🔥

The layout has distinct but connected spaces,
and one of my favorite areas is the walkthrough pantry.

We’re adding another dishwasher in there,
tons of custom built-ins ✨
and the lot is about an acre and a half —
so a massive backyard… and front yard for that matter 🌳

One thing we’re doing here is adding an entire master suite.

Here’s the bedroom,
back there is the closet,
and over here is the bathroom with a huge walk-in shower 🚿

There’s also a really neat soaking tub area 🛁
with a beautiful stone backsplash behind it.

One of the major ways you can add value in a house
is by adding livable square footage, bedrooms, and bathrooms 📈

That’s exactly what happened down in the basement.

We’re adding window wells soon,
which turns the lower level into a true bedroom
with an attached bathroom.

Altogether, we’re adding about 1,000 square feet
plus another full bedroom and bathroom 💪

On projects like these, we’re learning to think outside the box
and have a little fun while we do it 😎
