Here are a few pictures from the summit. I was physically DONE so many times. But I just kept putting my head down and praying and moving. It’s literally insane what you put yourself through.

After we enjoyed the view from the peak, we headed back down to the highest camp, where our tents were waiting for us. I wasn’t dead, but I felt like it.

We climbed back down to base camp on Sunday. The worst part was over.

Today we hiked past camp Confluencia, and back down where we started. What a LONG day.

What a journey! So much to tell. It’s incredible!

We moved from Camp 2 to Camp 3 today. So we’re now at 19,586, much higher than Mount Kilimanjaro which we climbed previously at 16,100 ft.

We had dinner on one of the highest places on Earth! I’m super tired, so I need to rest.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we head to the summit of Aconcagua at 22,841 feet above sea level! We’ll leave at 5am (Missouri is 3 hours behind Argentina). We’ll climb up for eight to ten hours, and then down for four hours.

We talked to a group that was heading down the mountain after reaching the summit. They said it was really tough – brutal.

All prayers are appreciated, especially during the climb!

I climb Aconcagua representing Man Up and Go. Climbing to the summit of Aconcagua is a symbol of the nonprofit’s determination to fight for the fatherless and eliminate fatherlessness altogether. Man Up and Go serves orphans and fatherless children in the United States and abroad through innovative strategies that focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of their constituents. Our struggles are harmonized while on the mountain. And I couldn’t be more proud to represent Man Up and Go as I trek to the summit of Aconcagua.

I would love your support as I “Man Up” and take on Aconcagua. All money raised for this initiative goes directly to Man Up and Go. You can donate as much as you want. For example, since Aconcagua is 22,841 feet high:

1 cent per foot is $228.41
5 cents per foot is $1,142.05

Any donation puts me closer to my goal of raising $15,000. It’s a lofty goal, but so is 22,841 feet! I know with your generosity and support, we can and will make a difference.

Some of you probably join my wife in thinking I’m crazy. But this isn’t about me. This is about the hundreds of thousands of orphaned children across the world who wake up each day without the love, care, guidance, and protection of a father. If our journey to the summit of Aconcagua changes the life of just one child, it will all be worth it.

Together, we can and will make a difference. God bless!

Man Up and Go is a 501(c)3 ministry dedicated to fighting for the fatherless at home and abroad as Jesus commanded. Your donation is tax-deductible where applicable by law.
