Congratulations to Wyatt Frome on the successful completion of his Eagle Scout project at Ralph Johnson Park in Veneta!

Wyatt led a dedicated team of volunteers to install a permanent chess table and seating, working closely with the City to identify the perfect location. Through fundraising efforts, he raised $3,500 to cover the cost of the table, seats, and supplies.

The project was completed in two phases:
1️⃣ Pouring and setting the concrete pad
2️⃣ Installing the chess table and seating

From planning and fundraising to coordinating volunteers, Wyatt demonstrated outstanding leadership every step of the way.

Troop 12's annual planning is DONE!!! The youth planned an EXCITING 18 months including climbing at Smith Rock state park, Summer Camp at Camp Parsons in 2027, Snowcaving, backpacking in the Eagle Cap Wilderness in 2028 and Philmont in 2029! Get excited!!!!

The Taco Challenge with a twist!

Troop 12 Patrols were given all the fixings to make tacos--but that's the easy part.
They were then handed a "mystery sack," filled with strange-but-edible ingredients.

We're talking sardines, kim chee, chocolate bars and espresso powder-- plus a whole lot more.

Scouts had to use all their ingredients and make 5 tacos to be eaten and judged by the adult leaders.

Surprisingly, all the tacos tasted fantastic.
