Today we had the incredible opportunity to listen and learn from Ms. Alberta Ellis’ grandchildren, Irv Logan and Elizabeth Logan‑Calvin.
They shared heartfelt memories of their time with her and reflected on the powerful legacy she leaves behind.
Irv also shared that at just 13 years old, he became a regional vice president of the NAACP Youth Council, an early step in his lifelong commitment to justice.
He encouraged all of us to begin our own fight for what’s right, no matter our age.
Today was a great reminder of what it means to lead with integrity, serve with heart, and to always honor those that have paved the way.
