Wild & Well Fed Homestead 🌾
We chose mud, chores, Jesus, and homegrown dinners over travel ball and drive-thru everything. Unfiltered big family life.

A lot of people see this and think,
“Let kids be kids. They shouldn’t have to work like that.”

But here’s how I see it:
he’s not my free labor.
He’s my son, learning what it feels like to carry real weight and be proud of it.

I want my kids to know tired hands, sore legs, fresh air, and the feeling of,
“I helped do that.”
I’d rather them learn about life in the garden and at the table with us
than only through screens and school drop-off.

Hard work is not the enemy of childhood.
Disconnection is.

You don’t have to agree with me, but I’ll die on this hill: kids who learn to work beside their parents are not “missing out.”
They’re being rooted!!

Do you think kids working on a homestead is too much or exactly what this generation needs?
