Osprey nest less than five minutes away from home, makes for some great photo opportunities. Fun fact, like many other raptor species the female Osprey is larger than the male, with a wingspan of up to five and a half feet! Peep the little guy in the second photo.

Testing out a new camera and lens on some backyard birds yesterday. The typical birds we get here in town include the Mourning Dove, House Finch, House Sparrow and Brown-Headed Cowbird. We have a couple other more shy visitors at our feeders, such as the Cardinal and Blue Jay, but they seem to know when I'm watching.

Of course I made a composite of the eclipse today.
