The democrats are so very angry about all the things that Trump is doing to show that their political leadership for 60 years has been a failure, they are now turning to foul language when publicly speaking and resorting to violence to the point of assassination, and cutting the throats of their opponents when interviewed. Instead of trying to get things accomplished through the art of the deal, their vitriol is having a corrupting impact on society. They want the complete annihilation of all opposition, and government to be established only in their form. Their violent rhetoric is creating a race of criminals, and a criminal mind does not respond the same way normal people expect. They live in selfish survival, releasing themselves of honor and ethics which mankind has previously used as a basis for harmonious human relations. Only they have the right formula to rule humanity and they demand the right to rule humanity. They disdain the most basic lessons learned during thousands of years of human experience. This is the historical crisis we find ourselves today. This Democratic Party today opposes everything that the republicans do and demonstrate their violence and name calling and make their ultimate objective obvious, to not lose their position of power to rule the world. So much that they want to incite society to commit to violence and blaming the republicans. They want to devour the whole human race with an orderly time table of conquest for their personal power. This dilemma leaves us with three ultimatums: Capitulate, try and co- exist, or stand up to their attack. We have been trying to co- exist and know that does not work. That leaves us no choice but to keep the course of common sense Americanism, the divine rights granted by the Constitution, and the throbbing pounding of freedom. ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO VOTE! VOLUNTEER AT THE POLLS. SUPPORT THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE.

In a recent article published in Life Extension magazine it was stated that in 1992 Nitric Oxide was nominated Molecule of the Year by the journal Science. Nitric Oxide supports the inner arterial wall to enable healthy circulation and it is also a neurotransmitter. In 1987 scientists found that the inner walls of arteries, called the endothelium released nitric oxide. This release relaxed the lining. Nitric oxide is now understood to be a principal regulator of blood pressure. Nitric Oxide is synthesized in the body from the amino acid L- arginine. Body builders have used it as a popular supplement to protect against nitric oxide deficit. As we age nitric oxide blocking compounds in the body increase thus causing disruption to the arteries endothelium lining. This disruption inhibits the ability of arteries to expand and contract and contributes to hypertension. A complex digestive process of enzymes degrades over 50% of ingested L-arginine before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Aging people can slow the breakdown of their endothelium with proper nutrients. Folate, vitamin C, fish oil, lipoid acid, and pomegranate. Statin drugs and agents that suppress chronic inflammation also help protect the endothelium. A recent preclinical study has shown that polyphenols from fruits and vegetables increases activation of an enzyme called endothelial nitric oxide synthase that is responsible for producing nitric oxide. People who follow a healthy and nutritious lifestyle can combat circulatory disorders and delay their occurrence.

What to do with the coconut oil conundrum?

I have patients who douse their foods and beverages in coconut oil. I’ve always shied away from it because it IS a saturated fat, albeit, a medium-chain triglyceride (as opposed to animal fats which are long-chain). I do recommend patients with dementia or a risk thereof, use coconut oil because it’s been found to be helpful in these cases. That said, I’ve seen a real mixed bag in terms of impact of the coconut oil on these patients’ cholesterol levels. A new systematic review of trials published in the journal Circulation assess whether coconut oil does increase cholesterol. They found that coconut oil did not affect blood sugar, inflammatory markers, or body fat compared with use of other fats. The coconut oil did significantly increase LDL cholesterol.

I do believe cholesterol is something to monitor in patients who are using coconut oil on a regular basis.
