Springfield Missouri Stake Latter-day Saints

We had a great Stake Conference weekend! We loved having Elder David A. Winters, Area Authority Seventy, preside at our conference. President John Lawson was released as second counselor in the stake presidency, and President Ken Teague was called as the new second counselor. We will miss the Lawsons as they move to New York City, and welcome President Teague to the Stake Presidency!

During the conference, we talked about some history of the church in Springfield as we celebrate the groundbreaking of the Springfield Temple this week. Below is the photo of the High Street Chapel at the dedication by Heber J. Grant in September of 1927.
