In Missouri, you can change your Medicare Supplement plan without going through underwriting?
It’s true!
Why would I want to, you ask?
To lower your monthly premium!
Missouri was kind enough to let you shop for a lower monthly premium by giving you the Anniversary Rule.
This rule states that 30 days before the anniversary date of first enrolling in Medigap, and 30 days after, you can change to another Medigap plan of equal benefits WITHOUT going through underwriting!
This is HUGE! Some states do not have a time period where you can change, meaning, as you get older and sometimes have more health conditions, the price goes up and there’s nothing you can do about it, except change to Medicare Advantage.
