Happy National 4-H Week! 🍀

This year’s theme for National 4-H week is “Beyond Ready.” I can truly say that 4-H prepared me for high school, Fair Queen, and as I began my college journey.

I got my start in agriculture and fair activities through 4-H by showing pigs and goats, completing cooking and clothing projects, serving as a 4-H Camp Counselor, and being part of the Food and Fashion Board.

These experiences taught me responsibility, communication, teamwork, and professionalism, all of which have already helped me in college, from being involved in student organizations to balancing classwork and new responsibilities. Even attending 4-H meetings helped me understand how student organizations run, making it easier to get involved on campus.

Clark County is the birthplace of 4-H, which makes being part of this program even more meaningful to me. I’m so thankful for everything 4-H has given me and how it’s helped me be “Beyond Ready.”
