Frankie is still on the hunt for his perfect landing spot! 🐾 He is officially a local celebrity, but we are taking our time to find the "just right" family for him.
Frankie is the definition of "chill." Even when a tiny, bold feline friend has a lot to say, Frankie just stays his sweet, soulful self. He’s a patient gentleman who is much more interested in his next nap than starting any drama 😆 .
He just wants a consistent person to nap with and a couch to call his own.
Frankie is currently waiting for a family that understands the stubborn, lovable nature of the Basset breed. Since he’s such a catch, our process includes a detailed questionnaire to make sure his next home is truly his forever home.

We have a special boy looking for his landing spot. This is Frankie. He’s 4 years old, full of personality and currently looking for a new couch to claim.
Frankie is coming to us because his owner’s job now requires constant travel. It’s a heartbreaking situation, but his owner knows Frankie deserves more than a life spent in boarding or with a pet sitter. He needs a consistent person.
The Lowdown on Frankie
Frankie is a classic Basset. He’s got the soulful eyes, the velvet ears, and a voice that he isn't afraid to use.
Frankie is a volunteer first responder. When an ambulance passes with its sirens on, Frankie joins in with a full chested howl. It’s his favorite hobby.
He has a bad habit of finding "sidewalk snacks." You’ll need to be his eyes on walks, because he thinks leftover pizza in the grass is a gift from the universe.
He lives for cheese, cookies, and a nice topper of canned food. He will be your best friend the moment you open the fridge.
What We’re Looking For
Basset Hounds aren't "budget" dogs. Between the ear cleaning, the weight management, and the potential for joint issues, they require a family that is financially prepared.
We are seeking an adopter who:
1. Understands the stubborn, lovable nature of the breed.
2. Can keep him on a leash (or in a fenced yard) so he doesn't sniff his way into trouble.
3. Is okay with a bit of "hound music" when the sirens go off.
Rehoming Details
There is a rehoming fee for Frankie. This ensures he goes to a committed home and helps us continue our mission of helping hounds just like him.
If you have a Basset-sized hole in your heart and a sturdy vacuum for the shedding, Frankie might be your guy. He just wants a home where he can nap at your feet and be part of the family.
Send us a message with a little bit about your lifestyle and your experience with hounds. Let’s find this boy the forever home he deserves.

UPDATE: ADOPTED
Earl is looking for his forever home. He is 4 years old and has been with us in foster care for three months now. He originally came to us because his previous owners moved and simply couldn't take him along. It broke his heart at first but he is a resilient soul.
He is healthy and up to date on all his shots. We have seen no signs of illness or long term health issues during his stay. He just needs a family that will stick by him this time.
You will fall in love with his personality immediately. He spends most of his day finding the sunniest spot on the carpet for a nap. He loves being near people and will lean against your legs just to stay close.
There is a rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a committed home. This also helps us continue our work with other rescues.
DM me your location and email address if you want to fill out our questionnaire. Earl is ready to meet you.
