Nice article about our Mill Street School apartments project in today’s Lookout Local!

Historic Springfield schoolhouse will turn into 40 rental apartments Work on the 1921 building is set to begin this summer and wrap up next spring. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Have a 1960’s ranch home with wood floors? Odds are they are a mix of red and white oak “shorts” like these, but they pretty much just look orange because of the old varnish. The great thing about these floors is they are good quality 60+ year old material 🌳 , and will be much lighter and brighter with a good sand and modern sealer.

Another school year wrapping up! Campfire co-founders Kelsey and Jenna teach the Working Drawings for Interior Architecture studio and support course each year. For most students this is their first time taking their projects beyond schematic design. In just 10 weeks they measure/document the existing building, meet with the client & create a program, generate a design concept, learn Revit, and translate their designs into black and white construction drawings. By the end of the quarter they have a pretty awesome and professional looking document set that they can take to job interviews when they are looking for internships. The learning curve is steep, but the process is so rewarding!!!
