Chestnut Expressway near the RDI Building will be closed 6pm Friday December 1 until 6am Monday December 4 because MoDOT will be pouring concrete for the north side of Chestnut Bridge

TRAFFIC ALERT: Chestnut Exp. at the railroad bridge west of Route 65 in will be CLOSED the weekend of Dec. 1. Crews are pouring concrete for the north 1/3 of the new bridge. If your nighttime travels take you across Chestnut Expressway in Springfield, then you might be interested in knowing about some upcoming road work. We'll be resurfacing Chestnut Expressway between I-44 and Glenstone starting next week (week of Oct. 1). Crews will be on the road 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Please expect lane closings and some nighttime noise!
