Don’t neglect interior home maintenance this spring. If you haven’t already, make sure you open up your crawl space vents. In addition, now is a great time to change filters in your furnace and to check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. If you haven’t replaced the batteries in a while, now is a great time to do that.

Another home maintenance item that you will want to make sure to do outside is checking your sprinkler system for leaky valves, exposed lines, and improperly working sprinkler heads. It is a good idea to check your outdoor faucets as well, especially if they were left on through the winter.

If you haven't mowed your lawn yet, now is also a great time to check on your lawn equipment to make sure it is working properly before your grass gets too long!

Spring is here, which means it is a great time to do some home maintenance and prepare for warmer weather!

One important item, especially with the spring rain, is to clean out your gutters and check for any damage. When cleaning out your gutters, we always recommend the 4-to-1 rule. For every four feet of height you have to climb on your ladder, move the base one foot away from the wall. This ensures safety while using a ladder.
