Finesse Design Remodeling is a full service, award winning design-build firm that specializes in fine renovations and restorations in the Washington, DC area. We provide personalized service with owner involvement to es**rt clients through the entire design-build process. We create designs that speak to you, then execute your vision with expert craftsmanship and meticulous construction. Our goal is to create dream homes while making every remodeling experience fun. As a design/ build firm, we handle our projects from beginning to end- from design ideas, to material selections and the construction of the project. Our in-house team of Project Developers, Professional Designers, Project Managers and skilled Craftsmen work together to provide an outstanding remodeling experience while creating distinctive spaces that speak to you.

Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth Mitchel began her career as a fine artist before joining a design-build remodeling firm in 2004. Over her next ten years with the firm, Elizabeth wore nearly every hat in the design build industry working her way up to design director and eventually Vice President before leaving to start her own full-service design build firm, Finesse Design Remodeling.

Elizabeth’s projects have been recognized numerous times over the years, earning her first Grand level Contractor of the Year (CotY) award at the age of 23. Her projects have also been featured in several publications and media outlets including a segment on The Today Show.
However, Elizabeth’s true passion is to provide not only an outstanding remodeling experience for her clients, but to also create a distinctive space for each client that speaks to them. “There is a uniqueness about each and every one of my clients. The overall success of the project lies in the communication and interpretation of that special something in the design and execution.”

Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and painting in her home studio.

Meet Brian

Brian Bielski is responsible for supervising all daily operations, providing design insight and for on-site project management. In his early career, Brian worked as a Union Carpenter for several large construction firms from 1980- 1987. Brian continued developing his skills in the construction industry by acquiring degrees in both engineering and construction management.

Brian has owned and operated his own design build firm for over 23 years, achieving Certified Remodeler (CR) status and won numerous contractor of the year awards from 1995 – 2010 through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Brian continued his personal growth and client satisfaction efforts, and problem solving skills by completing Dale Carnegie and Sandler Sales training, Project Management Professional Certification, and by teaching part time as an adjunct Mathematics professor at College of Southern Maryland.
Brian’s education and professional backgrounds consist of: Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Towson University, Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland PMP certification from Villanova University, Associate of Arts degree in Construction Management from Montgomery College, Certified Carpenter from the Joint Carpenters Apprenticeship Committee in Upper Marlboro Maryland.

With over 35 years of experience in construction, engineering and design, Brian has designed and built hundreds of projects. Brian utilizes a combination of problem solving and project management skills to complete client projects that are aesthetically pleasing, practical, on time and on budget.
