O God, in whom there is no darkness at all: Grant us thy light perpetually, and when we cannot see the way before us, may we continue to put our trust in thee; that so, being guided and guarded by thy love, we may be kept from falling, this day and all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God, who hast given us grace at this time to celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ: We laud and magnify thy glorious name for all that he hath brought unto us; and we beseech thee to grant that we may ever set forth thy praise in obedience to thy will; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
