Summer is in full swing, and the Springfield Prep garden is still growing. In this video, 5th Grade ELA Teacher Hannah Stevens takes us on a tour of the SPCS Garden. A founding member of the Springfield Prep Sprout Squad, Hannah stops by throughout the summer to care for the plants and harvest what's in season.
Hannah started gardening during the pandemic as a way to spend time outside and stay grounded during remote learning. Her passion for gardening has only grown since then, and she loves to share what's growing with her students! The garden is a powerful reminder that growth takes time, patience, and consistent care. Thank you, Hannah (and the rest of the Sprout Squad), for sharing your love of gardening with our school community—and for helping the garden thrive all summer long. 🌱☀️🍅

Last week, we wrapped up the school year with two special milestones. We cheered on our 5th graders as they "stepped up" to middle school and celebrated our 8th-grade graduates as they crossed the stage and received their diplomas!
Graduation featured inspiring remarks from State Representative Carlos González (), reflections from Class President Jacob Arroyo, and lots of cheers from the crowd. Congratulations to the Springfield Prep Class of 2026—we can't wait to see what comes next! 💙💚

Field Day is always one of the most anticipated days of the year, and this year's event did not disappoint! ☀️🎉
Despite the heat, students, staff, and parent volunteers were great sports all morning long. With plenty of shade breaks, lots of water, and just-in-time sprinkler or hose cooldowns, everyone had a great time!
A huge thank you to our staff and family volunteers who helped make the day a success. With special thanks to International College for generously allowing us to use their fields, Station 6 from the Springfield Fire Department, and the team of volunteers from ! We are grateful for the partnership and the space to make memories together! 💙💚
From the first beat to the final bow, last Thursday's Michael Jackson-themed Dance Team Show was unforgettable. With powerful storytelling, dramatic moments, and amazing performances, our dancers showcased months of hard work and talent.
We're incredibly grateful to Dance Teacher and Dance Team Coach Alexus Jones, who somehow manages to outdo herself year after year. Her vision and commitment create opportunities for students to shine in remarkable ways.
