The Robertson County Historical Society just received some spooktacular donations from Bo Adams, just in time for the season! This is an original “traveling casket” from Austin & Bell Funeral Home.

The size indicates it was likely for children or teens. The casket would be used to transport the individual to their final city, where they could be prepared for burial by the appropriate funeral home. It was likely used many times as a way to transport the dead.

Now, it has found its final resting place at the history museum on the square.
