The DAS Technician will be working on full DAS installations for major wireless carriers. Projects range from large venue to enterprise installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cable installation to include coaxial cable ½” and up, RG6/11 cable, and fiber optic cable
Must have experience terminating ½” cable to manufacturer guidelines
Familiarity with installation standards of major US wireless carriers
Build-out of IDF closets to include mounting Remote Units and dressing in all associated cabling
Need to be familiar with cable lacing
Mounting of In-ceiling Omni antennas and Directional panel antennas
Experience working in and operating Aerial Lifts, as well as above-ceiling environments
Conduit installation experience a plus
Need basic electrical AC/DC power and grounding experience
Anritsu Sweep Test equipment operation
Adherence to NEC and BICSI standards necessary
Must provide own personal hand tools and drills, etc.
100% travel, Company Vehicle
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

qualification or certification in Structured Cabling or DAS
knowledge of BICSI standards
knowledge of Structured Cabling Techniques
direct work experience in structured cabling capacity
experience with LAN Certifiers and/or Sweep Test Gear
Certification in Commscope, MobileAccess, and TE Connectivity a plus
Familiarity with fiber optic cable structure and splicing
