For her Summer Reading pick, Two Rivers-Dos Ríos Elementary Library Manager Ms. Romig recommends a great read-aloud, "Today I Will Fly!" by Mo Willems.

Springfield Public Schools is seeking applicants to fill the recently vacated Position 4 seat on the Springfield Public Schools Board of Directors. In accordance with Policy BBC, the Board on July 13 declared the Position 4 vacancy following the resignation of Director Nicole De Graff.

Anyone interested in the Position 4 seat can apply in several ways:
• Complete and submit the online application form
• Printed applications are available at the District office at 640 A Street
The deadline to apply is 12 p.m. on July 24, 2026.

The Springfield Public Schools Board of Education meets tonight, Monday, July 6, for an Organizational Meeting. The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. The Board is expected to elect officers for the 2026-27 fiscal year. The Board will also hear a presentation on financing options for completing structural repairs required to maintain the District’s property insurance coverage.
