Chatham Blaze Volleyball

The Chatham Blaze Volleyball Club is now forming teams for 15U-18U girls and boys, and will be holding tryouts for competitive travel teams. We are welcoming all 9th - 12th graders from not only within the Ball Chatham School District but any other school districts as well to be a part of our competitive program.

9th-12th grade girls & boys (15U-18U)
Open Gym Tuesday, July 7 from 5:30-7:00pm
Open Gym Tuesday, July 14 from 5:30-7:00pm
Tryouts Tuesday, July 21 from 5:00-7:00pm

Club information
Season: November 2026 – Mid-March 2027.
Practices will be 2x per week on Sun & Tues at Salvation Army Gym
Estimated Player Costs (which excludes jersey if needed):​
Team with Paid Coach – 5 tourneys and 20 practices = $700.00 per player​ Team with Qualified Parent Coach – 5 tourneys and 20 practices=$450.00/player.
If a High School team does go to Nationals, there will be an additional expense per player to be determined.
Our goal is 10 players on each team.
Pre-register by 7/20 from the Chatham Blaze website www.chathamblazevbc.com and click on the Tryouts link. If your player plays other sports/conflicts, but would also like to play for Chatham Blaze, we do try to schedule tourneys around conflicts as much as possible. If your player cannot make the tryout date for their grade, please e-mail for an alternate tryout date. There is no fee to tryout.

Home Chatham Blaze Volleyball Club (“Blaze”) is a Non Profit Corporation that provides volleyball opportunities for students in the Ball Chatham School District and also the surrounding areas when applicable. Blaze is located in Chatham, IL, but also serves the Springfield, IL surrounding areas

Many District 186 schools will be serving free breakfast and lunch for children over the summer. Any child may receive a meal, they do not have to be enrolled in District 186.

Meals must be eaten onsite, they are not available for pickup or delivery. Please call District 186 Food Service at 217-525-3046 with any questions.
