I was thrilled to discover a small park with a stunning boardwalk winding through a marsh filled with cypress trees. The highlight, though, was the rookery teeming with Egrets, Little Blue Herons, Ibis, and Roseate Spoonbills! Seeing a Spoonbill had been on my wildlife bucket list for ages, and their bright pink feathers are truly a breathtaking sight in person.

I took a quick trip to Springfield Lake and ended up sitting on the ground near a Red-Tailed Hawk for about 15 minutes. He seemed completely unbothered by my presence and by people walking past or stopping to snap their own photos.
