The Citizens Government Academy (CGA) is a ten-week program designed to give residents an inside look at how the City of Springfield operates. Participants explore key areas of city operations, including public safety, infrastructure, budgeting, community development, and more while engaging directly with city leaders and staff.

Wendy recently completed the program and came away with an even greater appreciation for the people, planning, and dedication that go into serving our community every day. She especially valued the opportunity to learn firsthand how local decisions are made and how city departments work together to support residents and businesses.
