Let's talk about Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention...

In our community, raising awareness about sexual assault in any form is vital for creating a positive environment for everyone. Understanding the signs, supporting survivors, developing effective reporting procedures for those in leadership roles and implementing clear policies to prevent harassment is crucial for everyone's safety. Awareness encourages open conversations, helping survivors feel comfortable to share their experiences, build a support system and seek help. Knowledge is power. By educating ourselves and others, we can recognize harmful behaviors and intervene when necessary. A united front against sexual assault fosters a culture of respect and safety, where everyone feels valued and protected.

Let's commit to being informed, supportive and proactive. BELIEVE SURVIVORS. Hold perpetrators accountable.

PCASA is available to present educational trainings on consent, boundaries, sexual harassment, bystander intervention and more. Our 24/7 crisis hotline is 217-753-8081. PCASA also provides free and confidential counseling for sexual assault survivors ages 5 and up.
