The Springfield College Athletic Training family came together in Philadelphia during the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Conference!🔻

Department Chair Jessica Barrett '05 and Associate Professor Brett A. Winston, G'14, PhD'18, welcomed alumni for an evening of reconnecting, celebrating the strength of our Athletic Training community, and honoring Springfield College's Legacy of Excellence.

We also couldn't be prouder of our current Athletic Training students, who helped lead District 1 to the NATA Quiz Bowl Championship! 🎉 Congratulations on representing Springfield College with knowledge, professionalism, and pride.

The Springfield College Department of Public Safety had the honor of dedicating the newly remodeled SCPD Training Room as the Officer Allan “Big Al” Vantangoli Training Room.

Vantangoli was not only a longtime SCPD officer, but he was also a friend, mentor, and a passionate member of our campus community. “Big Al” had a profound impact on many of those who have served the Springfield College community over the years. He served in law enforcement for a total of 50 years.

Vantangoli passed away on April 10, 2018. His legacy and impact on our campus community will never be forgotten. Vantangoli’s family, current and former SCPD staff, and members of the Springfield College administration took part in the ceremony. A memorial plaque was mounted on the wall, while another one was gifted to the Vantangoli family.
