Penmac Staffing - Transportation

Penmac Staffing / Transportation Dept is hiring a local CDL A Driver for a steel company in Springfield, MO. This is a full time, Monday through Friday position with a 7:00am–5:00pm schedule, paying $19.00 per hour.

Requirements for the CDL A Driver
• Three months recent CDL A driving experience
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and MVR review
• CDL A license without an automatic only restriction
• Ability to read tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Strong work history and reliability
• Able to work in the warehouse when not making local deliveries

CDL A Driver Responsibilities
• Operate various trucks including flatbed, gooseneck, semi, and straight trucks
• Transport steel materials safely to local destinations
• Strap and chain loads
• Operate an overhead crane by hand
• Perform some touch freight as needed
• Work with both automatic and manual transmission trucks
• Maintain safe driving practices and follow DOT regulations
• Flexible hours may be available depending on workload
