AWC UIS Communication Club

Please join the YPM and The AWC Communication Club for dinner, as we learn the basics of networking and proper dinner etiquette. Each student will be paired with a professional in a related field of interest.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to develop new professional relationships, gain knowledge of proper dining etiquette, and enjoy a delicious meal, compliments of UIS catering, and funded by the UIS Student Organization Funding Association.

Students will also have the chance to listen to two speakers discuss current internship opportunities!

Location: UIS Public Affairs Center Conference Room C/D

Time: 6:00pm (Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early.)

RSVP’s are on a first come, first served basis. Only the first 45 students and 45 professionals will be able to attend.

The AWC and the YPM would like to invite you to our LinkedIn and Resume Building event TODAY, for YPM and AWC UIS Communications Club members only! It will be a great opportunity to learn about building your personal brand through your web presence, and getting your resume prepared for those oh, so important internship and job applications!

The training will be held TODAY at 11:00am in SAB 50.We hope you can attend! This should be a very beneficial event for all of our members!

From 11:15-12:15 in UHB, in the second floor lobby, we will be available to talk more about one of the newest clubs on campus.

Come find out more about AWC UIS and the national organization we represent. Student members of the organization will be on hand to answer any questions. Please come join us and find out more about the valuable opportunities for internships, networking and scholarships for students.

Students educated in Mass Media Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Interpersonal Communication, Digital Media, Business Administration, and a variety of other fields of study are invited to come out and see what we have to offer.

We also have pizza from Papa John's and soda available if that sort of thing interests anyone :)
