"A lot of the role models I had, the older people in my life, taught me that expressing anger is how you deal with anger," Meet Shane Potter who is an amazing person that took time out his day to sit down with me and share his mental health journey as part of a project capturing community voices for mental health in a 3-part video series. Keep an eye out for parts 2 and 3 over the next few weeks.
In addition to Shane there will be two more wonderful people who consented to opening up and sharing their relationship with mental health and the care they have received. All three have different paths and treatment journeys. This video project is important, the stories are important to capture because mental illness is a common struggle and no one should feel alone in that struggle.
