🎉 Big Leadership News for the Cougars & Jets! 🎉

NELSD is thrilled to announce three administrative appointments for the 2026-2027 school year, pending board approval at our June 29th meeting!

✈️ Mr. Rob Shaffer returns home to Northeastern Elementary School as principal! A 30-year NELSD veteran, Shaffer began his career teaching at South Vienna in 1995 before spending over a decade as assistant principal at South Vienna Middle School. He has served as principal at Northridge/Kenton Ridge Elementary since 2011, and now brings all of that experience, insight, and yes, his signature bow tie 🎀 back to the Jets community where it all started.

🐾 Mrs. Alicia Anstine has been promoted to principal at Kenton Ridge Elementary School! After a standout year as assistant principal at KRES, Anstine—a proud Kenton Ridge alum—steps into the principal role, bringing nearly two decades of early childhood experience, a warm and caring presence, and deep roots in the Cougar community. Her kids, Ava and Graham, are Cougars too! 🐾

🐾 Mrs. Lindsay Heintz joins the Kenton Ridge Elementary administrative team as assistant principal! A KRHS Class of 2007 graduate with 14+ years of classroom experience, Heintz has been teaching math and science at Kenton Ridge Middle School since 2021. She and her husband Brad, also a proud 2007 Cougar and our newly named KRHS Athletic Director, are raising the next generation of Cougars, Ellie and Cooper! 🐾

These appointments reflect our continued commitment to strong, student-centered leadership across both campuses.

Tickets are available at the gate in cash or electronically via HomeTown Ticketing. Admission for all Regional tournaments for school-age (6 years old) and older is:
$12.00 – Adults
$5.00 – Students
