Dear Families,

I wish to announce that I will be retiring as of December 24, 2021 and Sumner Pediatrics will be closing. I will miss seeing you, miss watching your children grow into adults, miss celebrating your baby rolling over for the first time, miss all the delightful things your children have said, miss walking through some very rough times with some of you. It has been a rewarding pleasure. Thank you for trusting me, and allowing me to be part of your lives. You have enriched my life.

I am saddened that my retirement means that Sumner Pediatrics will close, but the climate is not conducive to sell a practice. Over the next three months, I urge you to find a new pediatrician for your family since we will not be available for appointments or refills after December 24, 2021. I can suggest the following practices:

Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine with offices in Wilbraham and Belchertown
Redwood Pediatrics, East Longmeadow
Pediatric Services of Springfield, East Longmeadow
Pediatric Associates of Hamden County, West Springfield

You may also call the Baystate Medical Center referral line at 413-794-5412 for help in finding a new pediatrician.

Sumner Pediatrics will prepare your children’s records for your new pediatrician. Once you have chosen a new pediatrician, please complete and sign the release form and return the release to us. You may drop the release at Sumner Pediatrics, mail it via snail mail, email it to [email protected] or fax the release to 413-782-7558. We will then forward the records to your new pediatrician.
