Iese Ieru TooToo, age 77, or Springfield, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born on December 1, 1948 in Tootoowhiler, American Samoa the son of Ieru Tootoo and Falo Vaa.

He is survived by his wife, Laura L. TooToo; his son, Jesse TooToo, Jr.; two daughters, Laurette L. Lugo and Leititia S. Missouri; his grandchildren, Laurie K. Huynh, Leilani M. Lugo, Linda A. Lugo, Gerard L. Lugo, Jr., Lenora L. Lugo, Leonard G. Lugo and George K. Missouri; two sons-in-law, Gerard A. Lugo and George W. Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Matalasi P. TooToo; three brothers, Ieru To'oTo'o, Sunita To'oTo'o and Faauuga Ieru; his sister, Penina To'oTo'o; eight great grandchildren, Jade Huynh, Ikaika Huynh, Krystal Huynh, Makoa Huynh, Oliver Garza, Olivia Garza, Sebastian Moring and Melody Lugo.

A Visitation with Services will be held Thursday Evening, June 25, 2026 from 5-8pm at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00am in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

Alvin Ray “Big Al” “Alpo” Britain, 65, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on June 13, 2026. He lived life on his own terms and left behind unforgettable stories, a lot of laughter, and a lifetime of memories for the people who loved him.He was a lot of things to a lot of people: the funniest guy in the room, the most reliable set of hands you could call, the man with a story for every occasion. But more than any of it, Alvin was a proud dad and some would say an even prouder grandpa. He cherished every moment with his children and grandson. Whether watching Cooper play sports, ride dirt bikes, or get into crafty projects, he never missed a chance to be part of those moments.Alvin had a big heart. He was generous with his time, quick to forgive, and always willing to help someone who needed him. He never met a stranger, was unpredictable at times, and was always ready with a joke (usually one not exactly fit for a polite crowd).A true blue-collar guy, Alvin was a talented auto body man who took pride in his craft. He had a natural gift for fixing things, loved taking them apart just to understand how they worked, and somehow always found a way to put them back together. If you needed help with a car, a project, or something broken, Alvin was the guy who showed up and figured it out.When he wasn’t working with his hands, he was living life out loud by riding his Harley, golfing, playing pool, and shooting the breeze with friends. He was a regular at Schultz and Dooley’s, where he could reliably be found having a few drinks, bragging on his kids and grandson, and pulling anyone nearby into his orbit.Alvin is survived by his daughter, Keshia Britain; his son, Levi Britain; his daughter-in-law, Amanda Britain; his beloved grandson, Cooper Britain; his sister, Debbie; his brothers Chris (Diana), Bruce, and Rick Britain; his best friend Bob Burleson; and a large circle of extended family, friends, and anyone who ever happily lost a few hours to one of his stories or a project that would “only take a minute.”He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Britain; his mother, Letha Britain; his brother-in-law, Bruce Branstine; and his stepdaughter, Portia Barton.Whether you knew him as Alvin, Big Al, or Alpo, chances are you have a story or a punchline that still makes you smile. Frank was born on July 15, 1976 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He service in the United States Navy.

Frank was cremated. A Graveside Service consisting of Full Military Honors were held at 9:00am on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804.

Sherry Vernon-Gann

Sherry Vernon-Gann, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the age of 74 in Springfield, Missouri. Born on Tuesday, May 8, 1951, in Oakland, California, to Robert L. and Marilyn F. (Elmore) Vernon, Sherry grew up and attended high school in Lebanon, Missouri.

Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her lifelong best friend Terry Graves. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mark Gann; her daughter, Hannah Gann, and her partner, Evan Paschke of San Rafael, CA; her stepson, Steve King, and his wife, Natalie King of Battlefield, MO; her sisters, Dr. Kathy Vernon-Gunz of Carmichael, CA and Dr. Julie Vernon-Gart of Avon, CT; her nieces, Meredith Gunz of Santa Monica, CA, Emily Gunz of Granite Bay, CA and Rachel Gart of West Hartford, CT; and her nephew, Max Gart of Orlando, FL.

Sherry followed many passions and wore many hats throughout her life. Whether you remember her as a collaborator in the early days of Nearly Famous Deli, the band manager for Granny’s Bathwater, a bartender at the Kentwood Arms, cheerleading sponsor at Greenwood, an attorney or antiques expert, Sherry always kept her own counsel and committed herself where she felt useful and fulfilled. Those who loved her feel her absence deeply while trying to learn from and live by her example.

No services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sherry's memory to a charity of your choice. Sherry was a supporter of women’s rights groups and animal rescues.
