Today's Air Quality Alert for Springfield, MA 🚨
Wildfire smoke is causing unhealthy air quality across Western Massachusetts today. If you're noticing hazy skies or smelling smoke, Here are some ways to protect the air inside your home.

🏡 Weatherization Tip:

Keep windows and doors closed as much as possible.
If you have air conditioning, set it to recirculate to help keep smoky air outside.
Replace dirty HVAC or furnace filters so your system can better trap fine particles.
Seal air leaks around windows and doors to help prevent outdoor pollutants from entering your home.
If you have asthma, COPD, or other respiratory conditions, limit time outdoors until air quality improves.
A weatherized home doesn't just save energy. It also helps create a healthier indoor environment when outdoor air quality takes a turn for the worse.

Creating healthier homes starts with investing in the people who do the work. 🏠🔨

Revitalize CDC is proud to partner with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Institute for Environmental Education (IEE) to host this Deleader Training opportunity for local contractors.

Thanks to funding from Massachusetts Department of Public Health this training is being offered at no cost to participants, helping remove barriers to certification and expand the pool of qualified deleading professionals across our region. By growing our local workforce, we can increase access to lead hazard reduction services and create safer, healthier homes for more families throughout Massachusetts.
Thank you to everyone participating and to our partners for making this important investment in our communities possible.
