When you patina copper you never know what you’re going to get. You just go through the chemical process and pray for something amazing. I didn’t just get one beautiful patina, I got several. While I was removing some of the thick patina on a couple of these I was thinking to myself “oh please be something I can use”. When I finished getting the thick parts off and smoothed out my jaw dropped. I then went to coat them all in Protectaclear and moved my lamp to watch it dry. My eyes lit up as tears started to form in my eyes. They’re all so beautiful and unique. This picture doesn’t do the justice either. It’s not showing the tiny details and the full impact of the color.
I can’t wait to turn these beauties into wearable art and watch them go to their new homes soon. If you want to see these beauties in their final form, come see me next weekend at the Valentine’s Market supporting the Parkview Lassies.
