I am a huge fan of salads and have them several times a week in my weight watchers journey. I decided to do a little experiment today to see which is the best way to store and keep lettuce the freshest in the fridge. Lord knows, I have thrown away my fair share of “brown” lettuce and I am just looking for the best solution!
So… I have washed 2 heads of iceberg lettuce and divided it up amongst my salad spinner bowl, a sealed pickle jar (with a paper towel inside to help absorb any excess moisture) and vacuumed sealed in a small baggie.
I am going to give this experiment one week and I will share my findings! I can’t wait to see how it goes!
In the meantime, what have you found to be the best way to store and keep your lettuce the freshest for the longest period of time?

Great idea For Halloween! It’s the normal rice crispy treat recipe with a lot of red food dye. I mixed the food dye into the butter/marshmallow before adding the cereal. I made the labels using Microsoft Paint and just printed them with a regular printer on label paper

Guys!! If you love a yummy pumpkin dessert, you need to try this!! It is SO good, loaded with protein and worth the 5 points!! (Only 2 points without the graham cracker and Cool Whip)
Pumpkin cheesecake mousse...
In a high speed mixer (I use my Kitchenaid food processor) blend together:
1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese
1/2 cup pure pumpkin
1 T. maple syrup
A couple shakes of each: nutmeg, ground ginger, cinnamon and a very small shake of ground cloves. You could use pumpkin spice blend instead!
Blend well until nice and smooth and creamy. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours! Makes 2 half cup servings!
Additional adds:
1 ground up graham cracker square 1 pt
3 T. Cool whip 2 pts
I layered ours! Half of pumpkin mix, graham cracker, the rest of pumpkin mix and then topped with the Cool Whip!

Wanted a low point dessert. Microwaved a Pizelle waffle cookie for 10 seconds so I could fold it, put whipped cream in it and drizzled with Walden farms sugar free caramel sauce. Stuck it in the freezer for 30 min. 2 pts.

Today I spent some time shopping with my momma and didn’t get the chance to eat lunch so I decided to make a nice big burger for dinner. I subbed out my bread for sweet potato puffs cause that’s what I do 🤷🏼♀️😂
Definitely the perfect Saturday night dinner! 😋🍔
