The spooky season is coming soon, and a number of new books, movies, and TV shows will be releasing during my favorite time of year! Of course my new slasher 𝑯𝑶𝑾 𝑻𝑶 𝑺𝑼𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑽𝑬 𝑨 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑨𝑳 𝑲𝑰𝑳𝑳𝑬𝑹 𝑨𝑻 𝑺𝑼𝑴𝑴𝑬𝑹 𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑷 drops on October 2nd, and I know of two more indie books also debuting in October: The Many Masks of Tom Roanoke by and The Tea Party from Hell by . Keep an eye out for these spooky indie tales!

Two massive releases this October (ironically on the same date as my new release) that I’ve highly anticipated are Other Worlds Than These by Stephen King and Peter Straub as well as Killing the Boogeyman by Richard Chizmar. Both are conclusions to highly popular series’ and should be a damn good time!

I don’t see too many horror movies releasing this fall, but a couple do stand out. The new Resident Evil will be released in September. But the one that caught my eye is Other Mommy, the film adaptation of Josh Malerman’s Incidents Around the House. That book was terrifying, and I hope the film does it justice.

Finally, something that’s had me on the edge of my seat for a couple years now is finally happening. Crystal Lake premiers in October! The Friday the 13th prequel series will be on Peacock, and I simply cannot wait! Linda Cardellini (one of my favorites!) portrays Mrs. Voorhees in what will be the first mainstream release connected to F13 in seventeen years.

June is National Audiobook Appreciation Month and the perfect time to remind bibliophiles that audiobooks are still books! Yes, it’s a different format, and it may not be for everyone. But those of us who do like to take in an audiobook while on a road trip (or just commuting to and from work) enjoy being able to ingest books in multiple formats. And especially indie author books!
