Reflecting on my time at ICC Chapter Leadership in Hartford, CT, I’m walking away with some meaningful takeaways.

One realization? I might be “too nice”… but maybe that’s not a weakness—it’s something to better understand and balance.

These conferences aren’t for the faint of heart. They’re full of networking, constant energy, and stepping outside your comfort zone. What I’ve learned is that leadership doesn’t have to be loud to be effective. I can lead in my own way—thoughtfully, quietly, and with intention—without trying to be everything to everyone.

Instead of focusing on the connections I didn’t make, I’m choosing to appreciate the ones I did and stay open to what’s ahead. I’m committed to finding my “why,” showing up with more confidence, and continuing to grow.

I’m looking forward to more meaningful conversations with the board, embracing the tough decisions, and moving forward with an incredible team by my side.
