Obituary for Jeffery "Travis" Ayers
Jeffery “Travis” Ayers, age 66, of Elkton, KY passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his home. Mr. Ayers’ wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a Celebration Gathering of Friends from 3-6pm Friday, May 31st at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.

Mr. Ayers was born March 14, 1958 in Springfield to Donald Levene Ayers and Hattie Elizabeth Heatherly Ayers. He was a truck driver and farmer most of his life.

Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his father, Donald Levene Ayers; brothers, Samuel “Bo” Ayers, and Willie “Ray” Ayers; and a sister, Donna Creek.

He is survived by his wife, Joetta Ayers; sons, Gary Travis (Heather) Ayers, and Donald Thomas (Kasey) Ayers; daughter, Amy Nichole Osborne; stepsons, Jason Mallory, John Cornelius, Caleb Covington, and Cameron Dorris; 7 grandchildren, Gary, Jasmine, Emmy, Ariel, Justis, Alayna, and Jensen; 1 great grandchild, Adelina; mother, Hattie Elizabeth Anderson; and brothers, Tracy (Cindy) Ayers, and Mark Ayers.

Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
