We’re excited to officially join the Poplar Bluff Chamber and continue growing connections within the community!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon-cutting and warm welcome. We’re looking forward to building partnerships and supporting individuals and families throughout the Poplar Bluff area

In honor of Memorial Day, our offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, as we remember and honor the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country.

We also recognize that holidays like Memorial Day can bring up feelings of grief and loss for many veterans and military families.

Our offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

The SPARK Team at Firefly College Rd is bringing the energy this Mental Health Month! 💙☀️

Earlier this month, employees took a moment to pause, recharge, and connect during a Monday Mid-Day Pick-Me-Up featuring drinks from Brew 21 Extra Chromosome Coffee Co. and a self-reflection activity led by Bailey Pyle from the Be Well team.

Mental health matters, and creating space for connection, encouragement, and joy in the workplace can make a meaningful difference. We’re grateful for community partners like Brew 21 who helped make the day extra special!

The Joplin Firefly team was proud to participate in the Freeman 5K and Walk for Autism 2026 alongside so many community members, advocates, families, and partner organizations.

Events like these are a meaningful reminder of the importance of connection, awareness, and creating communities where everyone feels supported and included. We’re grateful for opportunities to come together in support of autistic individuals and their families.

🚒🚓 The Joplin Day Program recently had a great time visiting with the Joplin Police Department, SWAT team, and Fire Department during a special show and tell experience!

Our individuals served enjoyed getting an up-close look at the emergency vehicles, learning more about the equipment, and meeting the amazing first responders who help keep the community safe every day.

Thank you to the Joplin Police Department and Joplin Fire Department for taking the time to make the day so fun and memorable for everyone involved! 👏

🏅 The Joplin Day Program recently participated in the Special Olympics Track & Field event!

We’re so proud of the individuals we serve for showing determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed and represented our community so well! 👏

We’re celebrating an incredible achievement!

Tommy Holt from our Cape Girardeau area brought home three gold medals at the Special Olympics Missouri Southeast Area Track & Field event this past weekend 🥇🥇🥇

Tommy competed in the 50-yard dash, mini javelin, and softball throw, giving it his all in every event!

Even more inspiring? Tommy’s dream is to one day be inducted into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame. We’ll be cheering him on every step of the way.

We had a great time at the 75th Annual Dogwood Festival in Camdenton! 🌸

Our team was out connecting with the community and sharing more about Firefly’s Employment Services and the support we provide to individuals with disabilities.

Thank you to the Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a fun and well-loved local event—we’re always grateful for opportunities to be part of the communities we serve.

Our Joplin Day Program recently visited the Discovery Center Springfield, exploring hands-on exhibits and learning through play. From interactive displays to new experiences, it was a day full of discovery and connection.
