Fresh, colorful, and packed with goodness—just the way we like it! 💚

It takes a special team to ensure hundreds of students are nourished and supported every day, and we are incredibly grateful for those who lead the way.

We want to recognize and celebrate our Food Services Kitchen Managers who are retiring from our team this year. Please join us in wishing a very happy retirement to Rosario Ampuero, Angelica Argandona, Dawn Dzurilla, Roopa Gundapaneni, Nader Habib, Jody James, Seung Kim, and Marlene Santos. We are grateful for the care and nutrition they have provided to students every day and will miss their presence in our schools! FCPS Food and Nutrition Services had a great time attending the Summer Extravaganza this past Saturday at Woodson High School! 🎉

It was wonderful connecting with families, sharing information about our summer meal program, and celebrating the start of an exciting summer season. We loved meeting members of our community and helping spread the word about the nutritious meals available to children throughout the summer.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and to all who helped make the event a success!

We are excited for a summer filled with healthy meals, community connections, and fun opportunities to support our students and families. 🍎☀️

From community stews to the nutrient-packed variety on trays today, school lunch has come a long way.

Today, June 4th, marks the anniversary of the National School Lunch Act, signed into law in 1946. This legislation permanently changed the educational landscape by recognizing that student wellness and academic success go hand in hand.

When you eat breakfast or lunch in our cafeteria, you are directly connected to this major piece of history! Here in Fairfax County, we are proud to carry this mission forward. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals made to fuel bright futures and support student growth.
