The Ascension is not only the reality of Christ ascending to heaven, but it is a turning point in discipleship. It means we don’t get to twiddle our thumbs. It means it’s our turn to accept the great commission, pray for the Holy Spirit to equip us for the journey, and work for the building up of the Kingdom until Christ comes again.
