Today was a real reminder of why experience matters in post-construction cleaning.

I had a situation come up where flooring looked like it just needed a simple clean… but what most people don’t realize is what happens when protective paper gets removed too soon.

All that fine construction dust, debris, and adhesive gets embedded deep into LVP flooring. At that point, it’s no longer a mop job. It turns into detailed, hands-and-knees work to properly restore the floor without damaging it.

That’s exactly what I explained not to upsell, not to overcomplicate anything but to be honest to educate about what it actually takes to do the job RIGHT.

Sometimes, when expectations and reality don’t align, the client chooses a different route. And that’s okay.

But I will never lower my standards or cut corners just to meet a price or make something “sound easier” than it is.

🏗️✨ Post Construction Walk-Through ✨🏗️

Today’s project starts with the initial walk-through before the real work begins. What you’re seeing here is the raw condition of the home after construction dust settling everywhere, debris in corners, and that fine film that covers every surface vertical and horizontal.

I sped this video up 2x so you can get a quick look at the entire space before the transformation begins.

This is where post-construction cleaning becomes an art. Every surface has to be detailed, every edge wiped, and every trace of construction dust removed before a home is truly move-in ready.
