We’re ecstatic and excited to announce that Springfield on the Move has been recognized as a 2026 Accredited Program by Main Street America! This achievement marks a significant milestone for our small town, as it’s the first time we’ve received such recognition.

For years, we’ve proudly participated in the downtown program in Vermont, and this accreditation represents a major step up for us. The rigorous process involved extensive data collection and evaluation by the state, ensuring that we meet high performance standards. It’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and the Springfield on the Move board. Your commitment has brought us to this pivotal moment, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

As we celebrate this achievement, we’re optimistic about the benefits this Main Street accreditation will bring to our community. Here’s to bigger and better performances in the coming years! 🎉

Thank you, Springfield, for your continued support! Let’s keep moving forward together!

Modern Art Opening: “Visions Unbound: A Collective in Color”

Springfield, VT – Join us for an exciting evening of creativity and inspiration at the opening of “Visions Unbound: A Collective in Color,” featuring the innovative works of three local talented artists. The event will take place on Friday, May 15 at 5 PM in the Great Hall, located at 100 River St, Springfield, VT 05156.

This unique exhibition showcases:

Ryan Curtis, an experimental artist who melds various mediums to create art, objects, and experiences. Ryans work draws from photography, digital collage, alternative printmaking, paint and mixed media painting, offering a fresh perspective on the boundaries of art.

Blair D.W.E., a surrealist artist known for challenging conventional thought processes through subconscious renderings. Working primarily with oil paint, Blair’s artworks invite viewers to explore primal emotions, creating a dialogue that reflects the darker sides of human nature.

Scott J. Morgan, a dynamic abstract artist who works predominantly in oil. Scott crafts paintings inspired by the traditions of storytelling, improvisational music, and vibrant dialogues, achieving intriguing compositions that captivate and resonate.

“Visions Unbound” promises to be a thought-provoking event, merging diverse artistic expressions that explore the depths of color and emotional resonance. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists, engage in discussions, and experience the transformative power of art in a communal setting.
